Lewen

Lewen (/lewen / [Translation Unavailable]) is a subtropical Town located in Tramzigege County, Tefea County, within the Norwick Principality.

The name Lewen is derived from the Sylvin language, as Lewen was founded by Byoctîm Hardstaff, who was culturaly Sylvin.

Climate

Lewen has a yearly average temperature of 19°C (66°F), with its average temperature during the summer being a pleasant 24°C (75°F) and its average temperature during the winter being a cool 14°C (57°F). Overview

Lewen was founded durring the early 15th century in fall of the year 1411, by Byoctîm Hardstaff. The establishment of Lewen suffered from many setbacks, delays, and obsticles, most notably a group of Lewen which required millitary assistance exterminate before the community could finish being built.

Lewen was built using the conventions of Sylvin durring the early 15th century. Naturaly, all settlmentss have their own look to them, and Lewen is no diffrent. The town's buildings feature timber framed wooden shiethed or brick construction, which gives form to a very formalized, rational, expence effishent arcatectural style based on strictly symmetrical designs which universaly feature pitched roofs, shutters, and the occasional column or pilaster for a decorative touch.

Lewen is buildings are arranged arround a network of spacious gravel streets which form a diagonal shaped grid, where each square verries in size given the proximity of the paralell streets forming each section. The ocasional smaller square has been used to construct a park, plaza, and other communal structures. Cultural Notes

Lewen 's town hall was built using a different architectural style from the rest of the town. The style used is based upon new and innovative technologies of construction and the idea that form should follow function. It was an embrace of minimalism and a rejection of ornament. The style became characterized by an emphasis on volume, asymmetrical compositions, and minimal ornamentation..

In Lewen most nights are accompanied by colorful ribbons of light in the sky.

The Vukodlak near Lewen are known to be a mutant strain of the creature.

Lewen 's citizens partake in a curious ritual relating to their local kami. It takes place in summer and involves line dance to channel Mysticism energies of tier 2 via recitation of scripture.

Lewen used to be more prosperous, but something happened relatively long ago that left it a shrunken shadow of its former self. If the settlement is prosperous, the locals often lament how much more they could have had. If the settlement is not prosperous, the locals blame their ill fortunes on that event. Reminders of this better time can be found in many places within Lewen .

In time immemorial, reportedly some time during the late 2nd century a great windstorm struck Lewen . Its winds were so great they picked up unsecured objects and flung them with enough force to smash brick and skull alike. Buildings collapsed under the gale, burying countless people alive. The storm's devistation was focused on the area arround Lewen , which lost 235 people, 234, and 64 livestock in the disaster.. History remembers the strom as The Storm of Death.
